The End of an Era.....

The past 25 years we have lived very close to Geauga Lake Park. Over the years, every Spring it was fun to watch the new rides put together. The parts for the rides were laid out in the parking lot, similar to legos from a kit, and one by one - the pieces would all disappear onto the new exciting rides.

I drove by the old Geauga Lake yesterday, sad to see the parking lot filling up with debris from the rides coming down. :-( Yes, Geauga Lake is sold and one by one, the rides and buildings are being demolished or taken down.

Yes, we stopped going there years ago - but it was fun to see the building every Spring and see the rides going in the Summer.

Rumor has it that it will be a residential neighborhood - so there you go - I need to pray for all the people who will be moving in...the beginning of a new era...for them.
