I am not good at training dogs

I had dogs all my growing up life. I love dogs. I spoiled my dogs rotten.

Now Laura has three dogs. She is teaching me how to train them. Her most recent dog has a few issues brought on my former owners. My motherly ways would be to carry the dog around and feed him constantly. But Laura is teaching me that a dog is just that, "a dog". I should treat them like dogs. I have spent a few days rethinking this.....

I have to ignor the dog looking at me with those sweet big brown eyes - and can't pet him or feed him until he learns to respect me. I don't want respect, I want love!!!!!

Yes, she is right. We have been down this road with the other two dogs - they had issues and now, they are awesome dogs.

Wow - is this how God is training me? In His love He will mold me - yes and do I have issues for Him to help me work through. :-)

I am very glad He is patient.
